Who this calculator is for

  • Singapore-based sellers on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop or Amazon.sg who want to check margins before listing a product, pricing a bundle or joining a campaign.
  • Overseas sellers selling to Singapore buyers, for example brands from Malaysia, China, Indonesia or Korea. Enter your landed cost per unit in SGD, including freight to Singapore and any import GST or duties you pay, so the margin shows what the product really costs you here.
  • Sellers deciding whether to outsource fulfilment. Tick Not applicable under warehouse fees to see your margin when you pack orders yourself, then untick it to compare with a Singapore fulfilment warehouse.

Costs to include when selling in Singapore

  • GST on marketplace fees. Singapore marketplaces usually add 9% GST to their fees. Enter the GST-inclusive rate: a 3% fee plus 9% GST is 3.27%.
  • Seller-paid shipping. The part of the delivery fee you pay, set by order weight. Couriers bill on chargeable weight, so light but bulky items can cost more than their actual weight suggests.
  • Campaign discounts. Mega sales such as 9.9, 11.11 and 12.12 usually need a discount or voucher. The campaign price shows your margin at that discount.
  • Ads. Enter your average ads spend as a percentage of sales to see the profit left after advertising.
  • Warehouse fees. If a Singapore fulfilment warehouse stores and ships your stock, include pick and pack, storage and inbound fees. The warehouse defaults are Singapore Fulfilment’s own rates.

How the profit is calculated

  • Order value = quantity × selling price per unit, in SGD.
  • Marketplace fees = seller-paid shipping + transaction fee + commission + cashback programme + affiliate commission. The transaction fee is charged on the order value plus buyer-paid shipping. The other percentages are charged on the order value.
  • Shipping fee comes from the first weight band whose maximum weight is at or above the order’s chargeable weight: the larger of the actual weight and the volumetric weight (length × width × height in cm ÷ 6,000). If the order is heavier than every band, the calculator asks you to add one instead of assuming it is free.
  • Warehouse fees = pick and pack + storage + inbound. Pick and pack can be charged per item, per order by weight band, or as a weight-band fee plus a per-item fee from a chosen item number. If you store, pack and ship orders yourself, tick Not applicable and all warehouse fees become S$0.
  • Storage = quantity × CBM per unit × rate per CBM per day × days in storage. CBM per unit = length × width × height in cm ÷ 1,000,000.
  • Inbound = quantity × (CBM per unit × receiving fee per CBM + stocking fee per item, from a weight-band table by the weight of one unit + any other per-unit fee such as labelling).
  • Profit = order value − marketplace fees − warehouse fees − product cost. Margin = profit ÷ order value.
  • With ads subtracts your ads spend as a percentage of the order value. Campaign price applies the campaign discount to the unit price and recalculates every percentage fee on the lower price.

You can download every input and the full breakdown as a CSV file. Your entries are remembered in this browser only, and “Reset to defaults” brings back the starting rates.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate my profit on Shopee or Lazada in Singapore?

Start with the order value: selling price × quantity. Subtract the marketplace fees (transaction fee, commission and any programme fees, usually plus 9% GST), the shipping fee you pay, your fulfilment costs and the landed cost of the product. What is left is your profit, and profit ÷ order value is your margin. This calculator does each step and shows the full breakdown.

Should marketplace fees include GST?

Yes, if your marketplace charges GST on its fees, as Singapore marketplaces usually do at 9%. Multiply the quoted fee by 1.09, so a 10% commission becomes 10.9%. Check your marketplace’s fee page or invoices for the exact rates.

I sell from overseas. Can I use this calculator?

Yes. Enter every amount in Singapore dollars and use your landed cost per unit: the product price plus freight to Singapore and any import GST or duties. If your stock is kept in a Singapore warehouse, keep the warehouse fees on. If you ship each order from overseas, tick Not applicable and enter your cross-border shipping cost in the Seller Own Fleet shipping table.

What is chargeable weight?

Chargeable weight is the larger of the actual weight and the volumetric weight. Volumetric weight is length × width × height in cm divided by a divisor: 6,000 by default here, and many couriers use 5,000 or 6,000. Light but bulky items are billed on volumetric weight, so enter accurate dimensions.

Is my data saved or shared?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser and nothing is sent to us. Your inputs are remembered only in this browser so you can come back to them, and “Reset to defaults” clears them. You can download a CSV of your inputs and results.

Where do the default rates come from?

The marketplace defaults are estimates of typical Singapore marketplace fees, and the warehouse defaults are Singapore Fulfilment’s own rates, both as of the date shown under the results. Rates change, so check your marketplace’s and warehouse’s current fees and edit any value.
